A self-contained, handheld, and battery-operated functional tester used primarily in the aviation industry for testing underwater acoustic beacons (ULBs).

It is designed to perform operational checks on underwater acoustic beacons used on aircraft flight recorders (black boxes) without needing to remove the beacon from its mount on the aircraft.
