  • Length - 1321mm (52")

  • Width - 686mm (27")

  • Height - 1118mm (44")

  • Fluid tanks - 2

  • Fluid tank capacity (each) - 34ltr (9 US galls)

The C800/BH variant of this 0376 rig was developed for washing the Avco Lycoming T55 engine in the Boeing Chinook helicopter.

INTRODUCTION
The combination 800/BH mobile engine compressor wash rig consists of two stainless steel pressure tanks, each having a capacity of 34 litres (9 US gal.) mounted in tandem on a transportation trolley, together with a nitrogen cylinder. Each of the stainless steel pressure tanks is equipped with a sight glass indicating the level of fluid, a filler cap, gauze strainer, pressure relief valve, nitrogen inlet valve, fluid outlet valve and drain valve.

GENERAL
The rig comprises a welded, tubular steel frame, which forms a transportation trolley for the two pressure tanks and a single nitrogen cylinder. Two wheels, with urethane filled tyres, run on a solid axle which is bolted to the frame. At the front, two rubber feet support the trolley. Additional support for the rig when the nitrogen cylinder is being changed is provided by a retractable frame support at the rear.

The fluid in each of the pressure tanks is pressurised by nitrogen, which is contained in a cylinder mounted in the upright position at the front of the rig. The nitrogen supply to the pressure tanks is controlled by a pressure regulator, factory set to a pressure of 5.44 bar (80 psi) on rigs up to Serial No. S1952, or 5.93 bar (86 psi) on rigs after Serial No. S1952, The reduced nitrogen pressure from the pressure regulator is distributed to the top of the rinse and solution pressure tanks via a pressure regulating valve situated on the control panel at the rear of the rig.
